2021 - U13 A Lightning - Hocktoberfest - Gold
The Storm is Brewing… and the U13A Lightning have struck GOLD!
This weekend the U13A girls shone bright at our local Hocktoberfest tournament. Going undefeated in the round robin they secured wins over St. Thomas, Cambridge, and North Halton and tied the London Devilettes to secure first place overall. In the semi-finals they met Kitchener and won in a flash 4-0 to advance to the gold medal game against the St. Thomas Panthers.
A hard battle was waiting for them with St. Thomas though. After a tough first and second period the Lightning were down 1-0 but with a late game goal the game was tied and headed into overtime. With a sudden death overtime underway the Lightning kept their cool and scored first keeping the gold in our house! Great first tournament!
